The three-story building formerly occupied by Boots Pharmacy on High Street, Hucknall could be turned into a convenience store and family home for its new operators

An empty Nottinghamshire Boots could be given a new lease of life by becoming a family-run shop. The three-story building formerly occupied by a Boots Pharmacy on High Street, Hucknall could be turned into a convenience store and family home for its new operators, if recent proposals are approved by Ashfield District Council.

The internal layout of the pharmacy would be reconfigured to suit the requirements of the convenience store, including retail space, storage, and staff facilities. The new home above the store would be designed to offer a comfortable and functional living space, including bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, and communal areas.Planners have said the scheme will largely keep the appearance of the building the same to "maintain the character of the high street".
