Looks like real world business acumen should be a necessary attribute when voting for any candidate. No more school kids please.
Abolish property taxes, business taxes, all fees & all other taxes, including income taxes. Replace with sales tax increase. People will quickly know how much government cost them and they will be reminded of it every day they spend a dollar. No more special favors or corruption.

Actually, it won’t. Other states can actually do math and understand that a $3B tax credit in return for $27B in capital investment and 25,000 jobs is a no-brainer. When you allow a vocal liberal minority to dictate how things will be run, you get exactly what NYC got - nothing.

Mayor Liccardo in San Jose had this nailed from the outset. That being said, I don't blame AMZN for looking and don't blame them for exiting what they thought was a done deal. Its 50 states and many more municipalities competing...last time I checked that's a good thing.
There are 50 States, if a few states decide not to encourage companies to come to theirs another state simply will. This will not change.
