Free markets and free media. No government interference.

We already get taxed to pay for the BBC under threat of imprisonment. Now you want the taxpayer to fund newspapers as well. This will presumably include the large salaries of some journalists and editors plus pensions. That's a very definite NO from me thanks .

It’s been appalling last 2 years ,if self regulation is not working then government has no choice but set standards

Isn't that what the BBC is supposed to do? Doesn't the government enforce that we fund the BBC? Maybe we should just re-distribute the telly tax money?
