Important that the MPs also called for tougher laws requiring fashion brands to check for and stop labour abuses. Many aren't doing enough, see KnowTheChain:

eatthebloc The poor don't waste their clothes and many get second hand and hand me downs, but let's propose YET ANOTHER a tax that disproportionatly affects low income people. The rich can be as wasteful as they want, while getting tax breaks

It’s just a way to introduce a tax where they can it maybe 1 pence now but it’ll be 1 pound before you know it

A letter writing class is what's needed. Dear MPs you're the fucking problem because you have the power to pass laws banning plastic packaging or at least setting limits on it. Stop passing the blame.

Oh for crying out loud. Why is the answer to every problem a frigging tax? Do we have no imagination any more?

Darning classes in school

the fashion industry is just a free loader. It is not necessary it is an indulgence so is the makeup industry and every thing else to do with human adornment. Once painted now engraved.

Tax....tax....tax....keep piling it on.

Fuck taxes
