Natasha Fyles faced a motion to expel her from Territory Labor's Left faction over the NT government's decision to green-light a full-scale fracking industry.

Business Minister Paul Kirby also had a censure motion raised against him for making pro-fracking media comments.

When asked by the ABC whether her authority within Labor had been impacted by the government's decision to green-light fracking, Ms Fyles provided a one-word response: "No." Rank and file members voted to ban it at last year's Territory Labor conference, before the government allowed a full-scale industry to proceed in May.
