The incident occurred May 6, 2021 at a highrise construction project located at 8119 Birchmount Rd. in Markham, Ont. Aluma Systems is based in Bolton, Ont. On the day of the incident, 10 concrete finishing workers were pouring concrete from a pump truck onto a defined pour area on the third level of a highrise building when the shoring under the pour area collapsed.
