Dozens of shoppers and residents have been killed or left seriously injured following a deadly Russian blast at a busy market in Ukraine's east.

According to officials on the ground, the death toll sits at 17, with 32 injured, but its feared the numbers will likely rise as they search underneath rubble.

At least 17 people are dead and 32 others injured following a suspected Russian blast on a market in the"peaceful city" of Kostyantynivka, in the Donetsk region, on Wednesday.
