Years in the making, the 11-story tower in Harrisburg's SOMA district is officially up and running.

The newest building along Harrisburg’s skyline is jam-packed with innovation, education and technology.long-awaited $100 million tower is officially in business, marking a milestone for the STEM-focused university., located at South Third and Chestnut streets in Harrisburg, offers a hub for healthcare programs and houses a handful of the school’s other programs, including advanced manufacturing.

Darr added the healthcare programs will fill a need for nurses and other medical professionals in the region, resulting in better health outcomes for the citizens of central Pennsylvania. “Our primary goal is to create safe, critical-thinking nurses. Our goal is to really to feed the pipeline to UPMC, however, our nurses will be qualified to work anywhere,” she said.

“We’ll be working with these companies to be able to do everything for them one place, to be able to train physicians, help train their new orientees, and then also do continuing education for them,” Hutchinson said.
