Poe previously led a hearing in her Senate committee on public services, where opposition to TOP-CRMS was voiced. She had earlier urged PPA not to insist on TOP-CRMS following negative comments from the Anti-Red Tape Authority regarding the program. According to the group, the DOTr’s decision carries significant responsibility in putting an end to TOP-CRMS and preventing the problems it may bring, including rising prices, increased transportation and shipping costs, and the loss of livelihood for sectors affected by the program.
