ILOILO CITY – Routes for electronic buses or E-buses that are a joint project of two major companies were launched in this city as part of modernizing and promoting environmentally-friendly transportation.

ONE of the 10 units of the SM Iloilo Electric Bus, a joint project between MORE Power and SM City Iloilo. The 10 units of SM E-buses is a joint project with MORE Electric and Power Corp. , this city’s sole electricity distributor.

MORE Power President and Chief Executive Officer Roel Castro envisioned the introduction of electric buses as a means to support sustainability goals and address the city's need for more eco-friendly transport alternatives. “With the SM electric bus, transportation in Iloilo City is going to the next level with reduced pollution and congestion,” said SM City Iloilo Mall Manager Gilbert Domingo.
