Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan advises fellow seniors not to ‘jump out of bed’ after breaking his arm.

Currently on extended medical leave after fracturing his arm, Minister for Transport Khaw Boon Wan resurfaced on social media to give the public an update about his condition.

“At our age, it’s important to get up, pump the heart, stand up, feel that you are steady before taking the first step,” he advised his fellow senior folks. While Khaw is out of action, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan is taking over his duties as the Acting Minister for Transport. A crucial role to play right now, especially since Singapore and Malaysia are still trying to come to an agreement over several transport matters, including the dispute over the maritime borders off Tuas and potential encroachments of airspace over Johor when Seletar Airport is operational.
