Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday announced the signing of highly-rated midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa to reinforce Molefi Ntseki's squad after reaching a deal with DStv Premiership side Stellenbosch FC.
As reported by KickOff, the Soweto duo or Chiefs and Orlando Pirates were both involved in an intense battle for Mthethwa's signature with Kaizer Motaung Jr personally ensuring that a deal is swiftly concluded. "With only two days of the current transfer window remaining, Kaizer Chiefs have agreed terms to sign Sibongiseni Mthethwa from Stellenbosch FC," Chiefs said in a"‘Ox’, as the 29-year-old Bafana international is known, has penned a three-year deal with the Naturena-based outfit that runs until June 2026.
"Before joining Stellenbosch, Mthethwa played for Royal Eagles and Black Leopards. He featured 29 times for Stellenbosch last season, and made his debut for Bafana Bafana in September 2022. ‘Ox’, as the 29-year-old Bafana international is known, has penned a three-year deal with the Naturena-based outfit that runs until June 2026.
