Vaping business owners have hit back at Health Minister Stephen Donnelly for threatening to ban disposable vapes from our streets.
But a spokesman for Vape Business Ireland , Joe Dunne, has told the Irish Mirror it would be counterproductive and he has called for stricter enforcement of incoming laws instead. He said: “We need to get the licence system in. And then we need penalties for breaching regulations, like selling to children, that would be so severe it would scare the hell out of people.”
And Mr Donnelly moved the ban a step closer when he added from New York this week: “I’d be interested in including a ban on disposable vapes in the Bill, if it’s something Ossian would find useful.”
