The Eat Game Awards not only recognise the very best in the game meat sector but also celebrate and promote rural businesses, who are helping to make sustainable and delicious food mainstream says Becky Ashton, content editor at Eat Game. Make your nomination now for a chance to win tickets to the awards dinner.

Chef patron Lionel Strub may be from Alsace originally, but he has fully embraced life in rural, stalking and shooting game, which is then prepared in his kitchen before putting it straight on the menu at the Clarendon.

He added: “I want to show the world that you can win awards for game but also that it’s a tremendous food and incredibly sustainable. It’s full of goodness and has a happy life, which has to be better than intensive farming – for me game is the way forward.”Lionel Strub with some of his team from the Clarendon Inn.

With the nominations now open for the 2024 awards, we want to see more businesses from this stunning part of the UK making the headlines. We want to hear from, and about, Yorkshire restaurants, farm shops, game dealers and food producers who are making game meat the star of the show.
