The US Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning letter to the Canadian company CanaRx for playing a role in"the introduction of unapproved new drugs and misbranded drugs" to the United States, according to the letter.
"These drugs are potentially dangerous to U.S. consumers," the FDA said in a news release Thursday.Vermont legalizes importing cheaper Canadian drugs, needs federal approvalAn unapproved new drug has not been approved for use by the FDA. A misbranded drug fails to bear either adequate directions for its intended use or adequate warnings relating to its use.
"Operations like CanaRx use their names to imply that patients are receiving medicines approved in Canada, when it's likely that patients are receiving medicines from other countries, and which may be sub-potent, super-potent or counterfeit. Importantly, they're also distributing drugs for which the FDA-approved versions are subject to additional safety requirements," he said.
Remember: it was Bush who introduced legislation to prevent Our citizens from obtaining the drugs they needed at a substantially lower cost.(made big pharma very happy)
CONGRESS APPROVED THIS! GET IT? Big Pharma my A$$. Congress got big bucks for this.
Build a northern wall!
FDA should be protecting consumers from greedy big pharma! Not poaching CanaRx for providing affordable alternative
Canada: 'We're sorry, eh?'.
But Canadian healthcare is the best in the world! But more people from Canada to the US than from the US to Canada.. Why would that be? 🤔 Maybe because Canada sucks, that's why.
How about we scrap the FDA and just start over. at least 20% of our fixable health costs are directly caused by their bloat, corruption, and inefficiency.
