Colehurst LakeHolly Mayer with partner Nick Cooper at Colehurst Lake

Colehurst Lake was designed and created in 1990 as a fishing lake and after years of disuse has been returned to a fishery. New owner Holly Mayer, aged 32, is running the facility with her fiancé Nick Cooper, 41, who is the fishery manager. But the couple, who live in Market Drayton, are also hoping to attract families on camping holidays next year.

Work will be carried out to create woodland and lakeside camping pitches and a barn will be converted into toilets and showers. Holly, who works as a tax advisor for Muller, said:"We are hoping to open in spring 2019 for camping."I bought the lake last year. Nick and I both like fishing. We are both passionate about the outdoors and nature. "We are excited about letting other people share this space with us."People are welcome to turn up on the day to fish. We're keen to get local families and people here.
