Up against supply issues like many other major metropolitan cities, the resale market in Calgary continues to over perform, largely as the result of condominiums.for the month of September published by the Calgary Real Estate Board on Tuesday, Calgary registered a grand total of 2,441 home sales this past month — a record for September and a 28.9% increase compared to September 2022.
On the pricing front, the benchmark price for condos reached $312,800 in September, up from $309,100 in August and a 15% year-over-year increase. For semi-detached homes, CREB notes that this past month was the first time the sales-to-new-listings ratio dropped below 70% since last September. The amount of inventory, however, has not been this low since September 2005.
