During the event, he shared that 5G has enabled Petronas to manage their operations from afar with zero delays and has helped to cut down time to collect data by 50%. The deployment has also helped reduce carbon emissions by reducing physical visits. Besides RGTSU, Petronas wants to enable 5G across its assets in Melaka, Sarawak and Terengganu. It aims to have over 20 5G-enabled offshore assets by 2024. The 5G Private Network is deployed in partnership with TM One and Digital Nasional Berhad.
