According to a news release from the Cache County Sheriff's Office, the remains were found on Tuesday by crew members from Legrand Johnson Construction in Providence.
Officials said a deputy responded to the scene and coordinated with the state of Utah's forensic anthropologist. It was determined that the bones discovered were confirmed to be human. Following the discovery, the state's anthropologist arrived on site on Wednesday to determine the age of the remains and found them to be from the Pioneer era.
