opening the door to broader future healthcare product offerings ordered by physicians for their patients, the company said Monday, October 9, 2024. Best Buy will soon begin carrying continuous glucose monitoring devices that require a prescription, opening the door to broader future healthcare product offerings ordered by physicians for their patients.

Through an array of partnerships, Best Buy is orchestrating an effort for its customers to get Dexcom G7 brand continuous glucose monitoring systems delivered to their homes. In an announcement at HLTH 2023 in Las Vegas, Best Buy said Dexcom G7, which will cost $179.99 for a 30-day supply, should be available on BestBuy.com by the end of November.

Best Buy said it works like this: a customer would connect with a physician from Wheel, a virtual healthcare company with a nationwide network of physicians and other clinicians. The medical care providers would then determine if the customer is eligible for a continuous glucose monitor, and write a prescription if they are.
