California passed two new climate laws that require public and private businesses to disclose emissions and climate-related risks. The Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act requires public disclosure of greenhouse gas emissions for any business in California that has revenue of $1 billion or more. The Climate-Related Financial Risk Act requires disclosure of climate-related financial risks for businesses in California that have $500 million or more in revenue.
