Sweet and Spicy: what's the buzz on honey infusions? | SaltWireFREDERICTON, N.B. — A Fredericton bottling facility has secured nearly $1 million in federal funding for the creation of a marketing manager position to help the company expand into more global markets.

SmartSkin Technologies Inc. will be splitting a $999,750 Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency investment into website enhancements, a customer training portal, digital content creation as well as trade shows and advertising on top of the new marketing position. “In addition to SmartSkin’s positive contribution to the local economy, its technology has had an internationally significant impact,” said Evan Justason, SmartSkin Technologies CEO

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, SmartSkin helped one of the largest vaccine makers solve a serious issue, which happened to be impacting vaccine supply at the time.” Established in 2009, SST is a two-time winner of the Supplier of the Year Award from Coca Cola’s bottling network, and has done business with clients such as Pfizer, Sanofi, GlaxoSmithKline, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, KraftHeinz and Schott Pharma, the world's largest supplier of pharmaceutical glass vials.
