SINGAPORE—Boeing Co.’s troubled 737 MAX jet was hit with new groundings in Singapore and Latin America on Tuesday, as the company struggled to contain the fallout from Sunday’s deadly Ethiopian Airlines crash.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore said it was “temporarily suspending operation of all variants of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft into and out of Singapore in light of two fatal accidents involving Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in less than five months.” The suspension starts 2 p.m. Tuesday local time.
