A Diamond Bus North West coach crashed through the front of a bubble tea store yesterday, claiming the life of Almena Amica, 77.

The bus firm whose coach ploughed into a bubble tea shop in Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens has issued a statement. Diamond Bus North West says it is cooperating with cops following the death of a woman after an X50 bus hit the T4 cafe yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the bus company said this morning: "On October 16, 2023, one of our Diamond Bus North West vehicles was involved in a serious incident in Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester. They said: "Mena was dedicated to her family, friends and faith. She loved music, gardening, TV soaps and nature. She was the senior member of our family, the eldest sister and great-great-aunt. She was well-loved, our matriarch, and her presence will be hugely missed."
