A Pike Brewing Company employee makes a batch of beer at their location along First Avenue in downtown Seattle. Seattle’s iconic Pike Brewing Company brewed its final batch of craft beer at their downtown location on First Avenue next to Pike Place Market this week.it is moving production to a new, larger facility in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood. Charles Finkel, the founder of Pike Brewing Company, said the idea of the move is to make the brewery more accessible.
“We’ll have the ability to have our warehouse and brewery combined, and we’ll be able to get trucks into the brewery,” Finkel told KOMO News. “Whereas, here on Post Alley, you can’t get a big semi-truck in here.” The good news is Pike Brewery regulars don’t have to worry as the historic Pike Pub and the Pike Fish Bar are staying right where they are.The brewery said they’re “excited to continue growing our production of high-quality and innovative craft beer” at the new facility in SODO.
