Federal prosecutors are conducting a criminal investigation into Facebook's data sharing deals with a number of large technology companies, according to a new report in the New York Times

As part of the investigation, a New York grand jury has subpoenaed two well-known smartphone makers for records related to the investigation, according to the report. Facebook had data-sharing arrangements with more than 150 companies, according to a December report in the New York Times. The deals helped Facebook gain more users, according to the report, and its partners were able to access user data without obtaining consent.

A Facebook spokesperson did not address the New York Times story specifically, but told CNN Business,"It has already been reported that there are ongoing federal investigations, including by the Department of Justice. As we've said before, we are cooperating with investigators and take those probes seriously. We've provided public testimony, answered questions, and pledged that we will continue to do so.

If you can handle a rootkit managing coordinates to a blob on your machine and still not manage to notice it hums less when the numbers are lower, you are failing to see that it is a hardware issue not a kernel software or melodramatic developer issue. It's hardware slowing down.

Social Media has become the Organic extension of Spontaneous Human Interaction on a Global Scale. Such a Dynamic cannot be entrusted to a partisan corporate entity, but must achieve the Right of Evolutionary Expression from which it was born, without Partisan intervention.

So that outage today was probably an evidence erasure

I wonder if this is why Facebook is down today, while they scrub their servers of evidence. 🤔 FacebookDown

Facebook is asking for a close up picture of myself to log on. I assume this is bogus, so I am not doing so, but someone needs to get the word out. Thanks.

Federal prosecutors are conducting a criminal game of clue into Facebook's data sharing deals with a number of large technology companies, according to a new report in the New York Times

How economical for the government to collect American's data!

Just another corrupt liberal company getting caught red handed .

So everything Facebook has goes to the NSA!!

So LIFELOG was stopped when Facebook was started!! And Facebook was taken offline when!!!

And finally we know why Facebook 'crashed'. They're scrubbing them servers clean 🤦

WOW! CNN is actually reporting REAL NEWS!

Is this why Facebook had some reliability issues recently?

Facebook is under constant attack but not for the reasons they are saying...

Huge surprise there 🙄

More Facebook attacks

once this started both Facebook & Instagram went dark... 🤔🤔🤔 coincidence

Thank you

How about some coverage of the 12 ur old girl raped in Kentucky by an illegal deported twice? Or coverage of the San Jose Woman just stabbed to death by an illegal that ICE asked to be detained nine times. He was not reported because of Sanctuary! BuildTheWallAndCrimeWillFall

So when is corrupted FBI going to raid facebook offices

CNN doesn't report facts.

This feels like a story both sides of the aisle can agree on. What companies are doing with individual data needs to become A LOT more transparent!
