A wild hour-long police chase along one of the busiest roads in Sydney’s inner west on Sunday night ended with the driver smashing his car into a power pole and allegedly biting the arresting officers. The incident began about 11.50pm when a Nissan Infiniti was pulled over on Parramatta Rd in Five Dock.
Inner West police chase ends in Ashfield with arrest. However, the car rolled backwards into the police vehicle and then drove off. NSW Police allegedly chased the 35-year-old male driver along Parramatta Rd for over an hour on Sunday night and Monday morning, during which he allegedly reached speeds of up to 140 km/h. PolAir, the Traffic and Highway Patrol and Raptor Squad officers were called in to assist with the chase, which ended in Ashfield.
