Former Victorian Commonwealth Games legacy minister Shaun Leane conceded he didn’t read the business case for the event. Mr Leane held the role from June to December last year before being dumped from state cabinet.

Former Victorian Commonwealth Games legacy minister Shaun Leane conceded he didn’t read the business case for the event.Asked by Select Committee on the 2026 Commonwealth Games Bid Member David Davis on whether he ever read the business case, Mr Leane responded “No”.

“I relied on the parts of the contract with the Commonwealth Federation as far as the legacy components that were expected upon us from them,” he told the Select Committee.Read More
