Earlier this week, the California DMV suspended the company's license citing an unreasonable risk to public safety. The City of Austin has received more than 40 complaints related to driverless cars since July, according to City data. Mayor Pro Tem Paige Ellis said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the Austin Council Mobility Committee will be briefed on the topic at Friday's meeting.
