In this version, the story deals with the aftermath of a war involving robots in an alternate future. With the robotic heroes of that conflict, and the humans that fought for their robotic rights, being mysteriously murdered one after another. The only clue left at the scene of each crime are horns attached to the victims and a vicious tornado that was seen in the vicinity before each event.A lot of emphasis is also placed on the ethical and moral aspects of robots within human society.

It’s this compassion and the complexities of emotion that drives much of the narrative, with aspects of artificial intelligence being key here as well. However, the focus here is on recreating Urasawa’s story and that is very well told and sticks very faithfully to its manga source material.
