While Telstra and TPG dominate the broadband market, they have been losing market share, while the third-biggest provider, Optus, has been maintaining share.

Aussie Broadband has overtaken the Vocus Group to become Australia’s fourth-biggest provider of broadband services three years after the telecommunications group listed on the stock market.

Vocus, which sells internet services under brands like Dodo and iPrimus, had a market share of 7.9 per cent at the end of June including satellite services, has not publicly disclosed more recent data.

Aussie Broadband will lift prices for popular 50 megabits per second plans to $85 per month from $79 previously from November 21, but prices for the faster 100 mbps plans will drop to $95 from $99 previously.
