Twitter is teasing some of the biggest changes to its service since it first launched in 2006, aiming to make good on the company's promise to promote 'healthy conversation.'

The prototype also moves the engagement counts for replies behind a tap. This change is designed to make Twitter a little friendlier.

Twitter, which has long billed itself as the social media site for “what’s happening now,” has also made changes to how its camera functions. Speaking at Twitter's house at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, Coleman said users will be able to post pictures, video and livestreams with a different look when they capture them live. The update was a year in the making and will both make the platform more camera-centric as well as bring splashes of color to Twitter timelines.

The new features are similar to what users find on Instagram and Snapchat. Twitter hopes the enhanced camera will get users posting more videos, photos and live broadcasts on its platform.

By the way I'd like to make a few suggestions, some things I was noticing, while tweeting, but of course that's incredibly silly because who else better to notice exactly what I was tweeting than 'Twitter'

I'm waiting for an 'edit' feature and a way to 'dislike' a post without having to explain why, just as we don't have to explain our 'likes'. Why not a button with a 😡 or even just a 👎?

To be honest, I love Twitter's healthy conversation campaign. I love the poll part because it promotes majority votes of a certain topic, issue, competition, and the like. I hope photos, videos and links are possible with poll. Do you like that too? jack

If it’s not broken, don’t “fix” it.

Twitter is a cesspool that needs to be shut down

I hope they get an EDIT OPTION

I actually would like to remain anonymous. So I won't be using the camera option. I like my privacy.

By healthy you mean trump and his RACIST BASE AND WHITE NATIONALISTS LIES. HATE.

HUGE FUEL FIRE AT A FUEL TANK FARM NEAR HOUSTON

Then maybe Jack shouldn’t go on air with anti vaccination promoters

Translation - more and more conservatives will be suppressed and banned.

Is there an edit button tho?

is one of them getting rid of all the Russian trolls and half dressed bots?
