In the wake of Matthew Perry’s death, his former Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston’s support and confrontation through his addiction has resurfaced. The two actors filmed 10 seasons of Friends alongside fellow stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.

Remembering Matthew Perry. In 2022, Perry spoke candidly about his battle with addiction and recovery, sharing that, of all the Friends cast, Aniston was the most supportive. “She was the one that reached out the most,” he said in an interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer. “You know, I’m really grateful to her for that.” He went on to share how Aniston first confronted him about his alcoholism in 2004 during the filming of Friends. The sitcom ran from 1994 to 2004.
