Before a nationwide ban takes effect next week, residents of Washington state can turn in their bump stocks and receive $150 per device

Gov. Jay Inslee signed Senate Bill 5954 into law March 14, allowing residents of the state to turn in their bump stocks to the statewide Bump Stock Buy-Back Program March 17-18 and March 24-25. The devices replace the standard stock and grip of a semi-automatic firearm, making it easier to fire rounds from such a weapon by harnessing the gun's recoil to"bump" the trigger faster.

It clarifies that bump stock-type devices constitute machine guns, as defined in two pieces of federal gun legislation that have been on the books for decades.Officials at the time said it was difficult to characterize how many gun owners the new rule might affect because precise sales figures are hard to determine. They noted bump stocks aren't widespread, but they are not uncommon. The rule takes effect across the country on March 26.Read MoreMachine guns are illegal in Washington.

Good idea 👏🏼👏🏼

I'm sure you will need to file some sort of forms for a receipt wink wink. Easy way to land on a registry list.

beautiful

Nothing says pointless American news like news about guns.

lol $150

Jay Inslee is the biggest liar on Earth

and im so sick of hearing people kill people nots guns that is true but just look at american at least 40 percent or mental that are for trump do you really want them to have guns . you cant prove everyone has mental problems but not making it easy for them to get guns will help

Bump stocks are useless but banning them is a mistake bc they have been found to be legal and the first bump stocks had spring assist and you don't need anything to do it an its called shooting from the hip an a shirt with spring and padding is not banned an does the same thing

god why on earth would anyone want to own one of these unless they are at war i do not get it god honestly they should have been banned with no hesitation

They’re still available?

Thank you 'president' Trump'!! For taking a very important step against 'bump' 'stocks'!

Lmao like they will turn them in....lol...

Waste of plastic and ammo anyways. Turn them in for the cash I say... And then invest in gunsmithing knowledge.

Instant Blackmarket

Okay, y'all...listen up... $150.

Facts First - what a farce.

I'd like to see how that goes.

A higher price will do..sure you govt people can do better. .... 😼😪

Are the elderly and the disabled allowed to own a bump stock? If not, why are we discriminating against these people and not giving them the right to protect themselves?

Bump stocks aren't the problem. The state and federal government not regulating and enforcing it's current laws are.

People kill people, not guns

Do not buy into the Goldilocks narrative in this stock market, strategist warnsApparently, stocks can also fall in 2019. The S&P 500, Dow and Nasdaq proved that last week with all three in the red for five days in a row, which hasn’t happened since 2016. So much for that big bounce off December lows?
