A 14-year-old boy has been stabbed in Melbourne’s west as children were out celebrating Halloween. The boy was in a park on Lennon Parkway in Derrimut at about 8pm on Tuesday when a group of males approached him. The teenager told police the group assaulted and stabbed him before running away.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. While it is not known if the 14-year-old was trick-or-treating at the time of the attack, there were many families with children in the area celebrating Halloween at the time. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
