Grab Malaysia announces that the company will be charging a cancellation fee on passengers who cancel after five minutes of making a booking.

In an updated Passenger Cancellation Policy, Grab says passengers who cancel their rides five minutes after getting a driver, will be charged a fee ranging from RM3 to RM5. — The Star

Well I just cancelled one today. The driver said “I’m stuck in the traffic” and I replied “it’s okay, I can wait”. He then replied “it’s gonna be a long wait ma’am”. Then I asked him if I should cancel then he said “I can’t ask you to cancel but it’s up to you”.

used to have a driver mintak tambang lebih sebab dia cakap jalan jem then dia cakap tulis tempat lain tapi ambik tempat lain padahal tempat tu kalau jalan satu saat dh sampai. terpaksa bayar jugak sbb dia tak bagi turun.

and then it should be the drivers can't accept passenger request when there are still passengers inside the car. Drop off, first. We choose grab to save time and if it take too much time like 10 mins to wait, what's the point?

Pernah jugak, aku pin location kat tempat aku selalu turun. Then dia boleh pulakk bawak lajak jauh gila dari tempat aku selalu turun. Aku cakap kat dia, dia buat tak dengar ke atau dia mmg tak dengar aku pun entah lah. Dh lah panas. Padan muka dia aku tak star langsung.

hello GrabMY haritu 2 driver asked me to cancel the booking by saying 'saya 4km jauh dari awak' and 'saya baru sampai rumah, nak rehat jap' so am i supposed to paid for it? i mean your driver yang suruh kot........

GrabMY What about drivers who is not moving at all (as shown in the apps driver location) after booking have been made? Showed that driver would arrive in 7 minutes but after 5 minutes, drivers location is the same. Happened to me twice at KLIA/KLIA2 (2017/2018).

GrabMY is there no 2 minute grace period where you can cancel without penalty? If I cancel in the first 2 minutes due to a change of plans or because the driver that accepted was much further away than expected, surely that doesn't inconvenience the driver very much no?

GrabMY rumah i dekat je dgn office tapi kalau time peak hour fee sampai 16 ke 18 rnggit. Guna mycar baru 7 ke 9 rnggit. Dduk kl takkan tmbng je dh sama harga untuk lunch dgn dinner 🤔🤔

Malaysian does not know that if u take ehailing in example in japan is a luxury. If u want good service and comfortable ride pay for the fees and service provided. Otherwise you can always use other means of public transport which is cheaper alternatives.

I used to use Grab. Now i use MY Car. Its much cheaper. And the same thing.

The decision has to be carefully explained cos many just jump the gun to say what if like this and that. Grab needs to promote the awareness to customers on the cancellation charges and how it works to the public. Simple QnA will do

I search for quickest available ride. Grab says '5 minutes away'. I proceed to book it. Driver took his time to move my direction. 10 minutes later, driver overshot & was moving away. Alas, I've to wait another 5 minutes to avoid cancellation charge...

Last month at KL Sentral, 1st driver cancel my request although I'm already infront of him, 2nd take a long detour before pick up so have to cancel, only the 3rd come pick me up. Need to consider several things first before implementing it.
