The chapel was built in 1832

A former Nottinghamshire church hall has been put up for auction, with plans passed to turn it into two houses. Calverton Church Hall, situated in the Nook, Calverton, is on offer with a guide price of £150,000.

Permission was granted by Gedling Borough Council for the former chapel, built in 1832, to be changed into two houses in 2022. The property comprises a small porch, main church hall with feature semi-circular windows and small under stairs storage cupboard. To the rear of the property lies a kitchen, cloakroom and separate W/C. On the first floor there are two further meeting rooms/storerooms both accessed via independent staircases.The property comprises a two-story former chapel of traditional brick construction under a pitched tiled roof. Listed on the SDL Property Auctions website, the property is described as being in a "quiet and peaceful residential location".

The description adds: "This spacious property is considered an ideal opportunity for a variety of potential purchasers and if developed will appeal to first time buyers and young professionals." The auction is due to take place at 10am on November 30.
