The provisional trustees appointed to administer the scandal-plagued BHI Trust have had their powers to dig into the trust’s finances extended.
Gert de Wet and Sumaya Mohamed Ali this week received the go-ahead from the Master of the High Court in Johannesburg to appoint legal and forensic experts to help recover missing funds. They now hope to extend their powers ever further to allow them to subpoena bank accounts linked to the trust and summon witnesses to give evidence.
