The crash was reported hours after it happened. No hazmat cleanup was ordered.

A Wheeling man died after a vehicle he was in crashed into a cage of nitrogen tanks early on a recent Sunday morning at a business in Buffalo Grove. According to a village news release, emergency responders were dispatched Oct. 22 around 4:38 p.m. to Vapor Bus International, at 1010 Johnson Drive, for a report of a vehicle that crashed into a nitrogen tank cage next to the building. “Upon arrival, officers located the black 2014 Ford Explorer with a single occupant inside,” the release states.

The occupant was later identified as Fernando Montesinos-Rojas, of Wheeling, and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities stated in the release. Fire officials determined that no hazmat cleanup was needed. The release explains that video footage of the incident obtained by the company shows the crash happened just after midnight that day.
