The Dallas-Fort Worth housing market slowed in October, bringing the region’s median home price below $400,000 for the first time since March.

Collin County homes remain the priciest in the region with a median price of about $510,000, flat from a year ago.from the Texas Real Estate Research Center at Texas A&M University and North Texas Real Estate Information Systems. The median price was down $2,000 from September.Local buying activity and prices have slumped as mortgage interest rates surged to their highest point in more than two decades in October.
