b37d4169807e9cd4d5d9051299083913f4b17252by Elise PersonAccording to the Small Business Administration, there are nearly 2 million small businesses owned by veterans across the country.One of those veteran-owned businesses in Central PA is Restoration One in Steelton.After six years serving numerous roles within the U.S. Air Force, including as a flight engineer, Hillebert left the military to work in the restoration industry.

A year and a half ago, Hillebert landed in Central PA as owner of Restoration One. He said he brings his military background to now helping to serve the PA community through his business. Hillebert said being in the military gives you a sense of direction, understanding, and purpose. He said he’s able to take away lessons from the military and apply it to being a small business owner.

While Hillebert didn’t receive any assistance from the SBA, there are different options for veterans who are small business owners or looking to become one.
