PUTRAJAYA: Two more individuals have been remanded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in relation to its RM30mil corruption probe involving the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).

Magistrate Saifullah Qamar Siddique Bhatti allowed the two, a 48-year-old senior officer in SSM and a 52-year-old director of a consultant firm, to be remanded for five days until March 26.On Tuesday, another SSM senior officer and two directors from two IT companies were remanded for five days to allow the MACC to investigate them.

Handcuffed and clad in the typical MACC orange lock-up garb, the two covered their faces with their shirts as they were escorted inside. Magistrate Saifullah Qamar allowed seven of the suspects, who are civil servants, to be released on RM10,000 bail with one surety each.The civil servants include a police station chief, two police officers, a Fire and Rescue Department official and three officers from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall .
