A “tasteless” custom NSW licence plate allegedly glorifying the October 7 Hamas attacks has been slammed by a Sydney business leader. Speaking on Sunrise, Amanda Rose, founder of Western Sydney Women, took aim at the custom plates reading OCT7TH — which some believe reference the date of the attacks. The plates, spotted on a white Ford Ranger in Sydney, were reportedly registered six weeks after the terror attacks, in which 1200 Israelis were killed.
Custom NSW number plates some believe to reference Hamas attacks slammed. MyPlates, that charge $499 for custom plates, received a complaint on January 23 about the plates, The Daily Telegraph reported. NSW Roads Minister John Graham said the registration of the vehicle would be cancelled within a week. MyPlates said it would review its complaints process. Jewish community groups have condemned the plates — believing it to be a reference to the October 7 attacks.
