WARNING: Graphic content A man was slashed and beaten in broad daylight with multiple weapons, including a machete and a hammer, in a violent attack in Melbourne’s west. Chol Yai, 21, was set upon by a group of about four men about 5pm on Sunday, and chased across Elpis Rd, Weir Views before he was then attacked in a garden outside a McDonald’s outlet.
Thugs target 21-year-old man in brutal attack Yai was slashed and beaten with a machete, knives, a hammer and baseball bat, with his right arm cut down to the bone. footage from a nearby home captured the group chasing the young man, as well as the horrified reaction of neighbours. “They’ve stabbed him in the back,” one witness can be heard saying. “Holy s***, holy s***, call the cops,” another said. The residents who watched the attack unfold can then be seen running over to the injured man, registering first aid. One of the witnesses told 7NEWS the man had suffered injuries to his head, back and arm.
