Mthombeni said preliminary investigations revealed that the harrowing attack, which left three people dead and one fighting for their life in hospital, after two unknown gunmen opened fire in a brazen shooting on Thursday, was related to taxi industry conflict.
He said police are continuing with their investigations and are still calling on the public to come forward with any information.
