Ryan Gosling, aka Ken, has taken to the Oscars stage for the first time as a performer. The Oscar-nominated actor, who brought Ken to life in the 2023 hit Barbie, gave the people what they wanted, performing his hit, I’m Just Ken.

Wearing a pink bedazzled suit, Gosling appeared alongside songwriter Mark Ronson and some of the other Kens from the movie, including Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa. He opened the song while sitting in the audience, concealed with a cowboy hat, surrounded by co-star Margot Robbie, director Greta Gerwig and songwriter Billie Eilish — none of whom could keep a straight face.

Gosling chose not to go to the stage to accept the award — instead, writers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt made the speech. “Ryan Gosling, this is as much your award as ours,” Ronson said. “You made the audience fall in love with this song with your matchless performance, so thank you.”
