Pride Of Jenni has blown away the opposition with a sizzling run in the All-Star Mile at Caulfield on Saturday. Beating home the highly fancied Mr Brightside, the powerhouse mare was ridden perfectly by jockey Declan Bates, who led the way from start to finish.

After starting wide from gate 11, race favourite Mr Brightside flashed home to finish second and Cascadian surprised with a last-to-third effort. The 1600m was Pride of Jenni’s third impressive win over the distance, winning in the Empire Rose and the Cantala Stakes at Flemington in November. Trainer Ciaron Maher was all smiles — and quite stunned — after the race. “She’s thrilling to watch, isn’t she?” he told Seven before taking a moment.
