PwC tax leaks: PwC International asked to explain why they won’t release Linklaters report

Already a subscriber?Senators will call PwC International executives before parliament to explain why the company is withholding a report into overseas aspects of the firm’s tax leaks scandal after discovering the global organisation had taken legal control of PwC Australia.

PwC International, which has only released a brief summary of the report, disciplined six of the firm’s international operatives for not inquiring about the nature of what turned out to be leaked information. PwC Australia believes local authorities already have the evidence they need to investigate the overseas partners.

She called PwC Australia’s leadership “a zombie management team controlled by a foreign entity that has no transparency and no oversight by Australian authorities”.
