Amcor chief executive Ron Delia is exiting the top job in mid-April after nine years, citing health reasons for his departure from the world’s largest
The company elevated chief commercial officer, Peter Konieczny, to interim CEO while a search for Mr Delia’s successor is conducted.consulting firm McKinseyThe company has been cutting jobs in response to weakening consumer demand, with 2000 roles axed in the past year. That represented 5 per cent of the workforce.
Mr Delia said Mr Konieczny would do a fine job: “I have complete confidence in the strength and capabilities of Amcor’s leadership team, and Peter will do an outstanding job as interim CEO during the transition period,” Mr Delia said.
