Millions of smartphone users are being told to send a simple text to their mobile contract company this week as Martin Lewis says it could save you serious money.

Money saving expert Martin Lewis has warned millions of EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three customers to send a simple but crucial text before next Monday.

Martin posted a video to his X page, saying: "It's free and it will tell you whether you're one of 14 million people in the UK who are currently out of contract and therefore free to switch and can likely save a shed load." One X user asked: "What is the benefit to switching before the price rise please? Isn't it better to wait until after so you don't get surprises?" Martin replied: "Many cheap sims are fixed price for a year so do it before you pay more."
